Give Palestine Charitable Society has adopted sustainable development projects since 2011, starting with rehabilitating the homes of the poor in the Gaza Strip whose houses were partially demolished. We have completed the repair of 200 homes in various areas of the Gaza Strip.

n 2015, we launched the Light of Life program to illuminate modest homes with solar energy. To date, it has resulted in lighting more than 205 homes in the Gaza Strip, the council of Qosra Municipality in Nablus district—a village besieged by the apartheid wall—has been illuminated, and health centers have been equipped with solar energy, including the dialysis unit for kidney failure patients at Abu Yusuf Hospital, the Central Blood Bank Association, and Al-Durra Children’s Hospital.

Bayt Buyut: It is a program for partial renovation of main facilities inside an existing house, providing caravans to those who lack homes, especially families of orphaned children.

Light of Life: The Gaza Strip has suffered and continues to suffer from irregular electricity supply for more than two decades. With the development of the solar energy sector worldwide and its availability at reasonable prices, in 2015, solar energy was commercially introduced in Gaza. The association, in cooperation with partners and supporters, decided to provide health and medical centers with solar energy. It was also used to supply farmers with energy to extract water from wells for the purpose of developing and improving agriculture. Additionally, homes in areas not connected to the electricity network, especially in border areas, were supplied with solar energy.

Drops of Life Program: This project relies on providing potable fresh water to citizens in the Gaza Strip, especially in areas not served by water supply networks. The association carried out small projects to extract fresh water from wells and make it available for passersby in various areas. This project is considered vital and very important given the interruption of access to drinking water in Gaza.

Guide Program: The association has adopted the Guide Program to empower orphaned youth by developing innovative and modern training skills that help them enter the labor market early and support their families, in our interest to develop relief programs from their traditional form to sustainable socio-economic development programs.

Safe Project: The Association adopted the Safe Project for psychological support for children and mothers in 2021, due to the urgent need for such programs in the Gaza Strip, which is exposed to waves of repeated Israeli attacks targeting civilians in residential areas, schools, universities, and public facilities.

The concept of the program is based on providing specialized psychological support sessions within pre-defined programs approved by the European Union and American institutions.

It is led by young specialists in the fields of psychology and sociology to conduct sessions that help relieve the burdens of war and various psychological traumas for children and mothers, enhancing their psychological resilience to severe life pressures.

The association has signed agreements with psychological centers in the Gaza Strip to refer cases that do not respond to individual or group sessions to these specialized centers for follow-up.

The association has achieved tremendous success with mothers and children, reflected in inspiring success stories.

Farha Program: Since the establishment of the association, it has formed the widest network of Palestinian relief coverage through the Orphans Sponsorship Project. Thousands of orphans in Palestine have been sponsored based on a field survey in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development and volunteers for field research to identify the groups that meet the eligibility criteria to benefit from the Farha Program. The association connects the orphans' families with donors, who in turn provide a minimum monthly income of $100. Donate now.
