Give Palestine
Give Palestine Association is an independent, non-profit Palestinian national NGO established in 2010
It is a continuation of Give Gaza covering all Palestinian areas in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem. It works in partnership with the private sector and has implemented many distinguished projects since establishment
The Association focuses on relief, cultural empowerment, vocational training and sustainable development in order to promote social, economic, environmental and cultural justice in Palestin
Our Story
The idea began with providing relief to the Gaza Strip during the Second Intifada at the end of 2003, as several international organizations were working to provide aid slowly and lacked local efforts for relief and rapid response, stablishing the association was born in order to work on rapid humanitarian response with local funding and by Palestinian volunteer After the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in 2005
The association adopted the project of supporting Palestinian children's culture, as the association considered the importance of culture in the life of Palestinian children and the necessity of developing it
Since the prices of children's books are usually higher than the average income level, it was decided that children should have access to books and knowledge in their place of residence within the refugee camps in Palestine, believing in the right to education and culture for children, To achieve this vision, we adopted several projects to accomplish this goal
Our Goals
- Promoting the values and behaviours of sustainable development in Palestine
- Empowering and building the capacity of marginalized children and youth in education, reading and vocational training fields
- Strengthening relief capacities and establishing a national network of active relief
- Developing the financial sustainability and enhancing the capacity to deal with financial crises
