The Gaza Strip has suffered and continues to suffer from irregular electricity supply for more than two decades. With the development of the solar energy sector worldwide and its availability at reasonable prices, in 2015, solar energy was commercially introduced in Gaza. The association, in cooperation with partners and supporters, decided to provide health centers and healthcare services with solar energy. It was also used to supply farmers for extracting water from wells for the purpose of developing and improving agriculture. Additionally, homes not connected to the electricity grid, especially in border areas, were provided with solar energy.
