Ramallah - In line with its social and humanitarian responsibility, and continuing its relief initiatives to support affected families in the Gaza Strip, the Bank of Jordan provided new support to the GivePalestine Association to distribute food parcels to a number of displaced families in the town of Al-Zawayda in central Gaza, including the Dar Al-Raja community camps and surrounding area
Mr. Saif Issa, CEO of Bank of Jordan branches in Palestine, said that this support comes as part of a series of humanitarian initiatives implemented by the bank to assist the most affected groups, and out of keenness to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and social cohesion under these difficult humanitarian conditions that displaced people in the Gaza Strip have been facing for more than two years
Issa praised the humanitarian efforts made by the Give Palestine Association to help citizens
For her part, Dr. Raja Abu Ghazaleh Shaath, General Director of the Give Palestine Association, valued this humanitarian initiative, affirming that the bank's support enabled the association to implement its program of distributing food parcels to many displaced families in the Gaza Strip during the blessed month of Ramadan, which contributed to alleviating the suffering of those families living under tragic humanitarian conditions
